I am having problems getting caller ID to display on M7324 phones in an installation I have. Its a MICS 4.1 system. I have changed CI cards and no help. If you listen with a test set on incoming call you get standard tone burst between ring 1 and 2. Telco provider states its standard caller ID. Off the shelf caller ID box on the line input to system will display correctly.

Thanks in advance

1. Each phone that is to receive CLID must be:
a) set to have ring and appear of the lines on the sets that are to receive CLID automatically.
b) sets must be enabled in Call Services to receive CLID

2. Sounds like you're aware you must wait for the 2nd ring for CLID to be transmitted. Its not always a given if you are running AA that the voice mail is set to wait for the 2nd ring before answering.

Question: if you do F811 do you receive the CLID?

With MICS 4.1 there is only the capability of showing CID on one telephone set before the call is answered. after the call is answered and if you are transfering (such as out of AA) then the caller ID will show before answering.

With a MICS 4.1 go into F**266344->Lines->trunk/line data->CLID Set: and set this to the one phone set that you want to have the caller ID data showing on (the line must also ring on the set)

do you see the caller ID data while on a call?

Sounds like you need to look into getting an upgrade! 6.1 lets you get CID on multiple set on the MICS. In 4.1 that was only an option on the CICS for some odd reason.

OK, I have tried all the thought processes from the 12th. All the caller ID sets are turned on as requested. I do need to correct one matter. This is a MICS 6.0 system. My mistake originally of defining as a 4.1. It is a 6.0

Also there is no AA on this system.

Also after answering a call after 2 rings, press f811 the display does not change.

Whatever line is answered on the set. The line number (example: 1234) appears in the window or display.

Ok stupid question: You are certain these are CLID cards? Are they global cards? If so are the dip switches set correctly for the country you are in? Last resort cold restart.

Understand Telemarv. I had an older version card in the system. I exchanged for a Global, which is in now. I did not verify the dip switch settings, but I will. Yes cold restart is an option but this site is remote and I work remotely with NRU. I dont want to cross that until I have exhausted all others. Thanks,

can you put a smdr on just to see if the CID is being recognized by the MICS? that way you can be sure of the cards and the settings.
