Good Day to All,

We run a Definty G3r V11 - I've been asked to change the caller Id for outbound calls. Currently the called party sees our main number to the facility. We would like our called parties to see our business name and main number. Is the a Bell thing?

FYI - calls are going out PRI - ISDN

Kind Regards,

You have no control over this. It's up to the telco on the receiving end. And if the location you're calling doesn't subscribe to caller ID, it won't matter.

Name is deliverd by the local LEC when they match the incoming number to a name in their database. The telcos don't all share their data with each other, so some calls come in with number only. There is nothing you can do to make this work.

If you're calling within the same telco's area (say entirely within SBC or Verizon) name will normally work, but when your call crosses telcos, it's hit or miss.

ch public" or "ch isdn pub" depending on your version. You can set the outgoing display per extension or range of extensions via this table.

Shouldn't need to get with Bell as long as they don't have caller ID turned off. You should be able to get this working on your own without them.
