I have a Partner Plus R4.0 processor with Partner Mail VS R 4.0 and 206EC R 4.1 modules. Although I am using display phones (18D)and the option is turned on, I can't get the caller ID information to pass to the phones. Is there something in the Mail unit I have to turn on? Any help would be appreciated.

pkarakis,
Do you have the autoattendent picking up the calls right away, If so you have to have it pick up after 2 rings so the phone company has the opportunity to send the caller id info. Also when a call is transferred to a phone extention the caller ID passes along but it too takes a few rings to show up.

Thank you. I do have the auto attendent set to pick up right away. I will try to set it for 2 or 3 rings. On transfer, how many rings before it shows the ID?

Well, I changed the Auto Attendant to pick up on the 4th ring, but the Caller ID information still does not pass to the phones. Is the Partner Plus Rel. 4.0 capable of caller ID?

Try plugging a caller ID box between your incoming line and the line port on phone sytem and see if it gets the caller ID info. I have heard of people subscribing to caller ID and it not actually working until you complain.

I'bve been told the PArtner Plus systems don't suppport CID. Looks like you need a Partner II or ACS. I posted a similar query and that's the info I'v ebeen given. I swapped the Plus processor for a P II and now my CID info passes fine on the CO lines running through the 400EC module.

Thank you ttech, I did check that and the information is on the line, it just doesn't pass through to the phones.

Telcodave, I hope that is not the case, but it seems so. I was hoping that that was not the answer.

Sorry but I just ran into the same problem. Over the weekend we swapped out a Plus porcesor for a PII processor and suddenly I've got CID onevery display phone (for the CO lines that are mapped to the 400EC module.).
Hope this helps.

telcodave,
Thank you...I guess. I guess I have to swap out the processor.
