I am wondering why on some calls the caller id shows up as DN 8999-1 or 8999-(1 thru 46) as the in coming call. DN 8999 is the ACOD for route 7 which is our Local PRI. I have have several people at the facility asking me why it is showing that and I have idea what to tell them.

That is the Route Access code, and route member.

This will be displayed if the caller has blocked their caller ID, or if you do not subscribe to inbound caller ID on your PRIs.

is there a way to have it show nothing rather than the 8990-# so people are not trying to call back to 8999

I'm not sure.

Do you have anything in your D-Channel like ND1, ND2, NDS? If so, you could take those out, and that may stop the display from showing inbound caller information.

I think you could also assign a CPND name to 8999.

Something generic like 'Inbound Call' might be enough to let people know that the numbers following are associated with inbound calls, and not extensions on the system.

good idea i will try that.
Thanks for the help
