Caller ID on our Merlin Legend v7

Hi.

I have a quick question. We just added a DynamicT1 to our site with 12 LS lines coming from our Internet Provider (VoIP). I integrated these lines in our config, and here are the first 4 slots in our primary processor:

1: 408 GLM-U (it says 408 GS/LS-ID MLX)
2: 408 GLM-U (it says 408 GS/LS-ID MLX)
3: 800 GL-ID (it says 800 GS/LS-ID)
4: 016 MLX-U (it says 016 MLX)

So, why do I only get CallID on the lines that come in on Slot3: 800 GL-ID? Also, why do slots 1 and 2 show it as GLM-U? not GLM-ID in WinSPM?

Confused, but just want to get to the bottom of it. I tried adding LS-ID Delay in SPM... but I don't think it helped.

For whatever reason, your provider may not be sending CID. If all lines are answered the same way, you might try swapping the lines as a test from the ports that are working to the suspected bad ports.

The designation 408 GLM-U - just means that the 408 module installed is upgradeable or was upgraded to Caller ID. Some of these modules will show up in inventory as 408 GS/LS ID - depending on vintage. However 408 GLM-U is, if upgraded, Caller ID capable. You need to check the firmware version in inventory. It needs to be APV: 32 for Caller ID capability to work. If the vintage number is not APV:32 - they will not transfer caller ID information and will work only as a regular 408 GS/LS MLX module.

Actually. It seems that the LS-ID delay worked! the calls that were coming in had an UNAVAILABLE Call ID... so we hadn't seen anything on the Number line. on our MLX-20L, we have now switched to the BOTH display.
