caller id on a vb 42050

We are having a problem with caller Id being received and viewed on CO trunks. Is there a specific option tha needs to be optioned on?
 
not sure, but wiil check with the tech that was on site. The dialtone provider was changed and for some reason, the system will not read the callerid that is being sent.
 
so you are saying that it did work and now it is not?
 
yes, the caller id was working with the previous provider who originated the dialtone from a Lucent 5E switch. The new provider has a DMS 500 Nortel....for the life of it they can't get it to work. The carrier suggested to send the customer to Qwest dialtone and switches and they still can't get it to work. Once the vendor options the caller id on in the panasonic, goofy/strange things happen to the calls. they optioned the caller id off and all works fine except for the caller id does not work...
Any ideas?
 
I think you have answered your own question
the carrier is to blame maybe time to sell them a new TDA
 
We have a customer with a similar problem -- calls placed with Caller ID blocking (*67) go through normally at first, but when the other party answers the KSU suddenly says "BUSY" (this is after you hear the ringback!) and the call is dropped. This started happening when they migrated from plain old telephone service to Voice Over IP through an inverse multiplexer and a fractional T1. I'm beginning to wonder exactly what a Panasonic DBS (this is a VB43060) means when it says "BUSY".
