Hello, I installed BCM50 3.0 with 5 analog trunks. Caller ID is not working, all i get is the line number (line 61 for example). I check all the programming and it looks OK. The lines does have caller ID option, and it used to work with the old system. Not sure what iam missing. Thank you.

You need at least 2 rings before CLID will appear. The line must ring on the telephone, not just appear. Under each DNs Telco Features you must turn CLID on for each line. Press Ftr811 after 2nd ring and see if yoou get CLID.

Adversity is Opportunity

Foneman1 what did you do to make it work? I'm having the same issue but with a BCM400 4.0. I believe I've done every Caller id option and it won't display at all.
It's the last thing I need to get working for my install and it's driving me crazy.

madx you need 2 ring cycles.
set auto att to 2

It's only dialtone-VZ

mad is this a PRI ? Then go under Target line and option caller ID set

It's only dialtone-VZ

Yes, it's a PRI. I have Caller ID Set selected and it still doesn't show up. I also changed my auto attendant to two rings and it still isn't working.

I've also been in contact with my service provider and they ensure me that they are sending it.

Use line Monitor and check you are receiving CLID.
You should see the number there.

If after answering a call you should still see caller ID

I changed the auto attendant to answer after 2 rings (i had at at 0), and it worked fine. You might want to try make it answer after 3 rings to give the system enough time to receive the digits. Thanks.

I changed the auto attendant to 3 rings and I'm not getting it.

In the Line monitor it shows ? - ? DNIS: xxx0500 (this is the number that I called into not the number I'm calling from.

Thanks for the help!

After the call is answered, press info, then more, and see if you have any caller ID information like name or number.

I'm assuming you meant to press info on the phone but the phone doesn't even have the option of info after I pick up the call or before.

What is the PRI setting at the CO? NI-1(dms100) or NI-2?
Make sure of their settings and program accordingly.

I've confirmed that they are using the NI-2 which I have selected.

You can press Feature 811 for call info.
Sounds to me like the C.O. is not sending anything.
To verify ...
Open BCM Monitor.
Go to the UIP tab and enable the PRI bus, this will essentially show you the D channel messaging.
Make a call inbound.
Expand the SETUP information element.
Expand any items within that element.
You should see a field called Calling Party Number.
If its not there, you're not getting it from Telco.
If it is there, you have something misconfigured.

Also on a pri on AA you don't need 2 rings just analog lines need 2 rings.

Support Dude- I will try your suggestion in the morning when I'm back in the office. Thanks!

cook1082-Thanks for the input, I'm happy to hear that because I didn't want the system to ring twice before the auto attendand picked up.

foneman1-Thanks for all of the help today!
