upgraded a merlin legend with 408 gs/ls id mlx and a magic processor cke5 2.2 v7.2. set the ls delay on the lines but no caller id. even have programed a button for caller id name. when into inventory and the 408 show glm-u. did not think i had to go with a older r7 to get caller id after magix came out. what did i miss

When you say you do not get caller id, are you not getting number either or just not receiving name?

Have you actually tested that the lines are giving caller id outside the system? Hook up a cheap phone with caller id and see if it comes through. The Magix is pretty straight forward with caller id as long as you have the lines set properly it should just come through.

Here is the simple question
Does rel 2.2 do caller Id . I only can find rel 3 and 4 in a magic that does name and number
Just trying to verify

Caller ID Number on Merlin Legend requires Software Release R3+
Caller ID Name Display on Merlin Legend requires Software Release R7+
Caller ID will not show on ATL Display Phones!

Thanks for the star!

Telecomboy is correct, All Magix releases show caller id name/number

Good point Dexman, I have come across this, usually with Customers who have Comcast phone ( cable box with pot lines ), Caller id dosent always work.

It appears that consumer grade telephones can handle deviation in Caller ID signals. The Merlin and Partner platforms seem to have the best results when the signal perfectly duplicates what RBOCs send.
