I am not very proficient in the field of telephony so I apologize in advance if this post seems rambling and if some of the information is irrelevant. I sort of inherited the PBX as a responsibility and I am attempting to do what I can to make everything run as smoothly as possible.
We just recently phased out an in-house dialer and went to a cloud based solution. When we had the in-house dialer, we had an OC3 providing us numerous amounts of PRI's for both the dialer and our CS1000. Since we no longer needed as many PRI's, we removed the OC3 and contracted 4 separate PRI's through our Provider for our CS1000.
For whatever reason, we are no longer seeing our CLID table entries going out as caller ID's. The only change as far as the CS1000 is concerned is the new set of PRI's from the carrier.
I contacted my carrier and asked them if their was anything different about the new PRI's other than the delivery method to our site. They claim that everything is the same. At that time, I asked them to at least display a specific number on the caller id while we worked to get this sorted out. They made a change on their side and the number I asked them to provide displays when we dial locally. However, the number does not display when we call certain places long distance. The carrier says the reason this is is because the carriers local to the number we are dialing have not updated their database.
With all of this said, I am wondering if there is anything I can check on the CS1000 that would tell me whether there is an issue on my end before I continue going around in circles with my carrier. I just want to make sure that when I go back to them I have done my due dilligence and that the issue is clearly with the new PRI's as opposed to something I could have prevented/fixed all along.
Thanks for reading and I apologize for the length of this post. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
