Having an issue with the callers phone number not being passed to PSTN (Verizon). I did traces on the router (3845) MGCP and I am seeing all 10 digits on outgoing calls. During test with a Verizon tech he told me he was seeing unknown number and unknown calling plan when he looks at the traces on the Verizon side therefore they are inserting the main billing number instead of the persons phone number on outgoing calls from the CM. I tried changing the Calling Party IE number type to National and the Calling number plan to ISDN on the CM Gateway config but it made no difference. On the interface Information I have the protocaol type set for PRI NI2. Any suggestions?

NI2 has caused us a lot of issue, reasons unknown. Try changing the protocol type. Verify with Verizon what they have setup... If anything just testing another will give you a direction..

We had a similar issue when calling cell phones (all other local numbers got the CallerID just fine). Turned out the system the LEC was using didn't like the calls being tagged as unknown and wouldn't pass the CallerID info to certain other LEC systems. Try changing the "Calling party IE number type unknown" and "Calling Numbering Plan" to National and National Standard withing the gateway T-1 config on the CCM. Ours were originally set to Cisco CallManager. Making the change worked for us.

Don't know if this helps but here goes...Had same problem but on another IP PBX. Had trunk-to-trunk calls to cell phone fail with PRI clear code 28(Invalid Number). Disabled sending ANI/Calling Party Number and calls completed. But, no ANI was sent which wasn't going well with client. I found out that the PRI supplied by telco's Cisco router connected to telco via SIP trunk. This router was causing "Presentation:Restricted" to be seen by telco side. When that happens, telco drops the call.

Forgot to say that telco's switch tech had their router tech fix problem on router. Now calls work and have ANI passed along to user;s cell phone.

caller ID and MGCP will be available in CUCM 7x
