Caller ID issue

Norstar ICS, customer has caller id, stopped working--found we had to install 4 db pads on line to get it working 100% again--customer now tells me it used to show name and then when they answered it would show caller id number---
I can get it to show name or number but not switch to the other one when answered--call logs work great and do show name and number info on all calls so info getting to Norstar---
can someone confirm it can switch from name to number when call answered without hitting the info button
 
usually they have to push the view button off the set at the screen. But what the customer says and was sometimes was not so, tought to argue, did the carrier change any setting from what comes in as info from the line?
 
In the US, clid can be purchased on the line to send number only, or name and number. It sounds like your customer is receiving both.

As curly is getting at, you can set which one diplays first on a per set basis (Term&Sets/Telco/...)

To swap between the two, your customer will have to press a button. (either a programmed f811, or the softkey.)
 
Thanks, just wanted to confirm they had to press button to see number --- and that it does not change automatically when picking up call as they said it worked before
