Hi all,
I have a Mitel 3300 CX ver 8.0 .Everything's been programmed according to customer's requirement. While testing the 8 party conference we have observed one strange issue. The issue is that while making the second call, where iam initiating conference from extn 7006 , the party says that they are getting the main pilot number as the caller ID whereas they must be getting the DDI of that extension.

This is what we get :
first outbound external call from extn 7006 - cli displayed 40817006 ( this is correct)
second outbound external call from extn 7006 - cli displayed 40817000 (this is incorrect as it shows the main pilot number)
Third outbound external call from extn 7006 - cli displayed 40817006 ( this is correct)
.
.
.
.
Eighth outbound external call from extn 7006 - cli displayed 40817006 ( this is correct)

Can anyone please help me in resolving the issue? Please let me know if you need anymore information

Regards

That have to be related with the carrier even when you have DID's when you go out to the PSTN usually you "use" the pilot number because the calls not uses always the same chanel to go out, when you dial from the PSTN to the ext. you use a DID but this DID is not restricted to one chanel in a T1 it could use any of the 24 chanels to reach the ext. if you want to receive any fix pilot or DID in the external calls you have to request it with the provider.

Are you doing anything differently on the second call.

e.g. using a secondary line key and using Add Held to create the first 3 party conference.

From there you MUST use the proper conference key for parties 4-8

Dear Nemmessis and kwbMitel,
Thank you for responding.
The first 3 party conference is done like this :
First call>Transfer/Conf. key>second call by dialling 9 followed by the external party>Transfer/Conf. key
This Transfer/Conf.key is the fixed key beside hold button on the phone. Are you referring to this key? If this is the case then Iam using this key only to hold and initiate conference for all the 8 parties.

Please note that I had used the 8 party conference on Mitel 3300 MXe II ver 4.0.

Thank you in advance

That being the case I think you've found a "Feature"

MCD 8.0 ? Might be trying to send first parties caller id number and and the carrier is replacing. Is the cos option Display Held Call ID on Transfer enabled?

Yes, "Display Held Call ID on Transfer" is in fact enabled
