Greetings! I have a Legend Ver 6.0 with 2 MLX Caller ID Cards and a 007 Voice-Mail. The system will pass caller ID for a few calls after a reboot and then no caller id comes through. The system error message says ALL TTRs unavailable. Does caller id on the Legend system depend on touch tone receivers? Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks/Quaz

I would test all of the TTRs and see what the results are.

Dexman,

I appreciate the reply. DO I need an analog port to test them? DO you know number sequence for the test?

Thanks/Quaz

Dexman,

Thank you again. DO you know if caller id in the Legend is dependent on ttrs to pass digits? And how many TTRs is in a Merlin Mail 007?

Thanks/Quaz

From the information I can find, the 007 has 2 TTRs. I believe that (and if this is wrong, the correct answer will be posted later on), the TTRs are used for tasks like capturing digits for the auto attendant/voicemail. I not sure that they come into play for caller ID because caller ID isn't touch tone.

Does the problem happen on lines connected to both 408s?

Dexman,

There is only 3 lines on the system. I have swapped 408 cards and the problem persists. If I reboot system caller id works for the first few calls. Then nothing comes through. I get TTRs unavailable in error log.

Thanks/Quaz

Try to test the TTRs. Replace any module that has failing TTRs.

In order to test the TTRs you need an analogue station port. What other modules are in your system besides the 007Mail and the 408GLMs? Any other errors showing in the alarm log? So when you move the physical line to other ports the same thing occurs? If so, I would suspect either bad 408GLMs or a bad processor module.

The Merlin Legend doesn't use or need TTR for CID.So forget the testing of TTR's.Syquest is right on. Or if that isn't the issue its back to the service provider.

It might be something as simple as LS-ID Delay not being on.

Lines and Trunks <more> LS-ID Delay
