Caller ID in 3300 Ring Groups

In a 3300 using ring groups the caller id is ONLY correct when the outside call is transferred into the ring group by the operator or from the auto attendant.
Any ideas????

When a call comes from a customer dialing 843-746-2171 (ring group) it shows 1171 on the display. When the rep picks up it only shows 1171.
If another call comes on their line - the caller ID will show the customer's number of the current call. Also the
caller ID works if the customer calls the main number. The AA or the Operator transfers those calls and the correct caller id of that customer is always shown.
These ring group members use a mix of 5220s,5215s, and 5212s. All of different types of sets work and show the same info........good or bad!

What version of software are you running on the 3300?

The software level is 12.0.3.15. The release level is 6.0 SP3.
