I have 5610sw phones on a 406. Do these IP phones receive caller id? And if so where do you turn it on from? Sorry I am sure this is a dumb question but would appreciate the help.
Caller ID should be displayed if available, if you are not getting any then it is probably not enabled on your lines, check with your telco
(You may also want to confirm this yourself using monitor as Telcos can sometimes be "Mistaken")
Telco claims to be providing CLID but the phone displays "Anonymous Caller". I think I will take the advice and double check for myself. Any place in the configuration I should take a look at as well?
Let me through in one more twist that may be the problem. All calls are answered by the auto attendant on a Voice Mail Pro. Does it automatically forward Caller Id or do I need to set something there?
Is AA using a [Transfer] action or [Assisted Transfer] action?
I have found in setting up AA that when using [Transfer] CLID is lost. When I used [Assisted Transfer] and put $CLI in the "Source of transfer" field on the "Specific" tab then CLID was forwarded to the phone.
Are your trunks a T-1 or analog Pots lines. If they are analog pots, in the line section of the configuration in manager, is the lines set to loopstart w/IClid or just standard loopstart?
Maybe I set up the asisted transfer wrong? In the AA it is set up for when "2??" is pressed by the caller it transfers to $KEY. IN the Assisted Transfer box I put $KEY in the "Mailbox selection and $CLID in the "Source of Transfer" in the specific tab. When I call in to test I get music on hold and then busy signal.
