We have a tie line going from Meridian to CiscoIP phones.

Meridian to CiscoIP phones - Currently says External call (not so much worried about this right now)
CiscoIP to Meridian phones - gives me the internal DN + channel (8908-2, 8908-3, etc)

The tie line is RCLS=EXT, DGTP=DTI, DSEL=3VCE, TKTP=TIE, and ISDN=NO.

What will happen if I change RCLS to INT? When I change it, do I need to disable/enable the tie lines or anything like that? If I do change it to INT, will that "H" precede the number (as I've seen in other posts)? Any other thoughts, comments, or help on this will be most appreciated.

no you don't need to disl the loop.. if you make changes on the dch, you need to dis dch x the d auto(ld 96) then disl x the loop, then disl the msdl, then enl msdl x fdl to write that data.. on that system you may need to dis the tmdi also..

here's an old post that may help, the switch was an 81c but most of those are usable prompts,, this tie is between a ccm and the 81c.. we have msg lamps, names in both direction etc.. took a day or two but this is the

Thanks John. I'm reviewing the prompts, and it looks very similar, except we're using a T1 rather than ISDN. Don't think that matters much on this specific issue. I see that you're RCLS is EXT. I thought from previous posts I read that I should change it to INT. But with your example as EXT, I should be looking elsewhere. Here's my rdb:

the reason i am using isdn is so i could modify rcap, msg lamps did not work without it, neither did names.. you can get both on a t without a d channel according to the book but i didn't want to waste to much time, i only had a few days to get two ccm's up and two different switches
