I have two new PRIs. I will be using them for our outbound dialer. I would like our 800 number to show up on caller id boxes.
I have tried
1, ch isdn pub I put in the trk number and the 800 number with total digits 11. thinking that anything going out that trk would send the 800 number......it don't

2, anything that says send name or number is marked Y in the trk page.

3, I did get the ch ISDN pub working as long as I put in the extension I was calling from.

4, The number that is showing up on the caller ID is my bosses work number.(it would be fun just to leave that way.....but)I'm thinking that when the Ts were setup they put it in to fill in the blank, yes I do have a call into Cox to change that as well.

Here is the trk page for review

This is what we do:

We have an entry in the cha isdn pub for each sequence of extensions. There is a line with just the number 2 in the first position for all of the extensions begining with a 2, a line with a 3 for all of the extensions beginning with a 3, etc.

[tt] Total
Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 2 8009991234 10
4 3 8009991234 10
4 4 8009991234 10
4 5 8009991234 10
4 6 8009991234 10
[/tt]

If I want any exceptions, then I just plug in the full extension, and have the entry read as follows:

[tt] Total
Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 4321 210555 10
[/tt]

This would display 210-555-4321 on the receiving caller ID.

Thanks Susan for the reply. I had to change the bill to number on the Ts to one of the new DIDs givin to me by Cox. Then point that number to the CSR vdn on page 3 of the trk form. Its the long way around but Cox didn't want to send an 800 number from a different provider. Wisdom is Knowledge

It depends on what launches the call. If it is a vdn, put the vdn in your isdn pub table. If its a hunt group probably the hunt group extension. Each of the dialers is a little bit different.
