How could I do to program my PBX (SL-1) to allow users with 2616 and any with phones with display to see the caller ID (currently they can only see the extension # but not the outside call #); do this works for type 2000 phones only or with type 500 also?

It is possible to display internal calls and external?
Thanks

this is done on the CLS

From LD 20 you can enable it...

CNDA

Also you have to have configured the names in CPND (LD 95)

I am very new at this; copuld you show me step by step?
Thanks

How are your trunks comming into the system? If it is through an NT8D14 then you are not going to get the Call ID. Unless someone knows something I don't.

No idea how could I find?
also is there a way to print all the trunks I have?

If you want CLID on calls from telco, you need to have the correct equipment in place; from both your equipment, and the telco side. You need to have the correct software on the Nortel equipment, and then programming has to allow it. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the analog phones need to be CNUA and CNAA in the CLS portion.

Do you have either the Nortel manuals (software features) or the Rls CDRom disks?

Also when I call from one extension to the other I see the extension # but when I call from the outside I only see 501-04 or 501-06.. Why?

unless you have a pri thats the acod for the route and the member. the fastest way to find all programed trunks is load 21 ltm ans return about 4 times.. list trunk member will show all trunks listed be route

I did:

But I still only see the extension #

If you are trying to see the names on the displays of two phones within the same phone system (extension to extension dialing) The in the CLS for both stations (dialing and dialed) you must input CNDA and DNDA ..... As long as the names (for both stations) are programmed in LD 95 and you allow the 2 features in CLS, you should see the names. If you are trying to see CLID from the outside world, that's another ballgame.
