Caller ID + Dial Back 1

I am currently testing functionality on a 3904 set and I have external caller ID turned on and I have an Option 11c.

Question: I look at my recent incomming caller list and I want to dial it. I press dial and I get a busy because it does not place a 9 before the number. Is there any way that I can program the phone so that when I press dial it puts a 9 before the number?

Hit the EDIT key and insert the 9, then DONE, than DIAL. There may be a better way but I havn't found it.

Thank you for your post Acewarlock. Though I noticed I could do this I am amazed that this is the only way to do this.

Has anyone else found another way?

There is a way of doing this and is in the Customer Data Block to display access codes on a route basis by type of call i.e. LOC / UKNWN / ISDN its a bit complex though.

Have a look and enable the monitor on your Dchannels if it they are ISDN?

But anyhow my post suggested 'Display Of Access Prefix (DPAC) on CLID in CDB (Customer Data Block) and RDB (Route Data Block)

Gate on Route ISDN YES
DAPC YES (To enable Feature)

I have my Tech coming out tonight to work on my getting my DChannels upgraded. I am going to have him look at this and see if he knows how to get it done.

What you are saying makes sense to me but the programing of it is a tad out of my league. hehe I am really good with mac's but this looks like it is a higher end of programing. More than I am used to looking at least. I will let you know how it works out.

3903/3904 samething. I still don't understand what this does to make the logfile work? does it put the 9 in so it works? or does it put the access in so it works?

From what I read (again my knowledge is limited)it looks as if the table will determine what the call type is (local long unknown etc.) and route it appropriately through one of the tables that would be created above. So it seems to me that (and please correct me if I am wrong) it would pass the information down to the phone with the prefix of 9 if it was routed through the appropriate table?

Well at least this is the way that I am reading it, but I still have to talk to my tech that does a lot more programing that I do to see if this is going to work.

Also please, if someone knows of another way (outside of editing each number) please post it here. I will say that the techs I have talked to thus far have all scoffed and said it was not possible so I am really interested in seeing if this works.

Yep you are right, calls coming in on specific route say EuroISDN Route assigned with TBL xx Insert '0' or '9' Access Prefix to redial the calls
