Hi there,

I have a call flow setup using VM Pro with an IPOffice 500 as follows:

<External Call to office> -> <Is working week> -> Yes -> Transfer to internal hunt group -> No -> Transfer to external mobile phone.

All that works just fine.

But what I would like to have happen is the number of the external party to appear as the calling number on the mobile phone. Instead, I am getting the number from a default short code match which is the "office" number.

Is this even possible? I notice the following in the help docs:

· Outgoing CLI Warning
Changing the outgoing CLI for calls requires the line provider to support that function. You must consult with your line provider before attempting to change the outgoing CLI, failure to do so may result in loss of service. If changing the outgoing CLI is allowed, most line providers required that the outgoing CLI used matches a number valid for return calls on the same trunks. Use of any other number may cause calls to be dropped or the outgoing CLI to be replaced with a valid number.
· Changing the outgoing CLI on calls using SIP trunks is not supported.
· On mobile twinned calls, if the original party information is used or a specific calling party information CLI is set, that number overrides setting the outgoing CLI using short codes.

Many thanks

You can check in Manager - System -> Twinning -> Send original calling party information for Mobile Twinning. This works for me using PRIs - as the PRIs I use allow me to send whatever I want as a CLI. This method does also involve a Twinning License for each user.

On users of mine that do not have the twinning license I have not been able to duplicate the results.

Cheers for the reply. Dont have a twinning licence though ;o(

Where are you based?

By default in the UK this cannot be done via ISDN, and most SIP companies also don't allow it, but we have one (Voiceflex) that allows us to pass through the original callers number via their SIP lines regardless of whether the call came into the system via ISDN or via SIP originally.

I am indeed in the UK.

I have my "source of transfer" set to $CID on my transfer object, but it doesnt make any difference. Is there something else I should be trying?

I sadly dont have any control over our upstream provider for outbound calls - its a private PBX running in a hosted building were all outbound calls are handled by them.
