Hi all,

I have a customer that is interested in blocking the outgoing Caller ID. They have A PRI. IP Ofice 500V2 Rel.8.1

I contacted my local TelCo, they said it can be done but will involve some programming on my end in the IPO 500.

Can anybody help with what programming they may be talking about?

Thanks

Derek

You need the shortcode character W inserting into the tel number field of the shortcode(s) that match outbound dialing :)

Thanks for the quick reply amriddle01! Can you give me an example of what your saying above. Are you talking about the standard dial 9 code for an outside call?

Thanks

Derek

Correct it would be from the 9N short code, unless you want it only for certain users that you could build it as a User Shortcode.

Here's the example from the Help.

Example: Blocking Caller ID

This is for blocking Caller ID for external calls. This feature can be applied to specific external numbers or to all out going calls. In most situations, the company will choose to block the caller ID for all external calls or leave it available for all external calls.

· Short Code: 9N

· Telephone Number: NW
