Hello all,

We have a customer that is now on SIP trunks. This customer has a few 800 numbers that when called, the CID is not showing who is calling. Now we confirmed that in Monitor, when a call comes in, the caller ID is picking up who is calling so Coredial is not the issue, I believe, but the phone is not showing who it is. The phone is just showing "External --> Main".

Is there a way to get the CID to appear on the phones through IP Office because I believe that is where the issue is lying at this point UNLESS there is something we are missing.

Thank you!! [afro]

What does the INVITE look like?

Why does From say "WIRELESS CALLER" ?
That should contain the CLI.

@janni78

I'm testing the call from my cell phone. When I call our business, or the customers, it should at least say on the phone "wireless caller". Instead I get "External > Main".

I've been editing settings on the lines. Under "Send Caller ID" I changed it from "None" to "Diversion Header". I read in a few posts that did the trick.
I also went and changed the Call Routing Method from "Request URI" to "To Header" after reading a few posts with no success.

I feel like one button click is going to fix this lol.

Hello,

We figured out the problem. We had one unchecked box in SIP Advanced Settings.

Line > SIP Advanced > Caller ID from From Header.

That was unchecked and needed to be checked.

Thank yoo!!

Well, I spoke too soon. We enable that button and when we do, the trunk goes out of service.

Any thoughts on that one?

Changing the "Send Caller ID" under "Forwarding and Twinning" from "Diversion Header" back to "None" worked.

@AegisTech

That worked! Funny how just two little buttons fixed the issue.

Considering how both those settings work it makes no sense =)

I always have "Send Caller ID" as "Diversion Header" since it's used for twinning and "Caller ID from From Header" disabled.
