Hello,
We moved from Nortel to Cisco about 1 1/2 years ago. Some of the Nortel phones allowed users to program a speed dial number to (for example) John Smith 555-555-5555. When John Smith would call in from that number the phone would display his name based on the number in the speed dial list, not caller ID. We keep getting asked if we can do something similar with the Cisco phones. (Mostly 7942, some 7965 and 7975.)
From everything I've looked at, my guess is no, but I'm no expert on Cisco, so I thought I'd ask.
Thank you for any suggestions or information.
Dale
