Who hasn't dialled their way into an over-complex AA, staying in line for 20 minutes, and then get's cut off?
What if you were recognized by the system, putting you right back where you left (almost)...?

I'm not a particular fan of CCR. (it sucks!)
But, even if you sent the CCR to the happy hunting ground, the Advanced license still has desirable features.

Anyway, here is couple of modules that might come in handy.

This setup will act as a regular AA on first time caller, reading out the available prompts.
If a caller has passed the AA(s), ringing on a Hunt Group and gets cut off, the system will recognize the CLI and prompt the option to bypass all AA’s and set high priority on the call.

Further on, a callback function is available. Nothing special about that, except for the anti bombing.
Some people starts repeating their calls, flooding customer service with multiple call back requests.
This is prevented in with this setup, as the system recognizes the CLI or the keyed in number.

What if it's a business with a shared outbound cli? Same number registered with multiple callers? Just a thought, I like the idea though.

Are you shaking these out of a bag? :)
Although i would love to i never ever used database actions before.
I will need to play with this and see if i can use it somewhere.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Austin, that could happen. Then request a callback to a keyed in number (DDI or mobile).
If that's not an option, you would be attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis. [pipe]

Or wait...there is another option.
Add a third choice, "dial your main number and extn, separated by *. When finished dial #"

(That one needs a bit of programming)

This is just a rough frame to expand on...could be turned into something completly different.

Peter, I got the idea when calling a large customer service center, and I had to go and check something outside GSM coverage. Calling back hunting down the same agent took a good 10 minutes.
To narrow the module down to Agent callback, use comfort announcement on users to catch the number.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I did use database acces on several occasions like for a vegetables distributor, customers call in and order different amounts of vegetables or the farmers dial in and announce how much of what kind of vegetables they are bringing in that day.
It can be done through a web page but also on the phone as a lot of their customers don't have a internet connection ( yes they do excist ) and prefer to call while in the field.
Both systems access the same database.

Another far more simple application is to lookup a customer name and present it to the phone using the call tag in a transfer.

Regarding the call back mentioned above you can always pronounce the CLI and ask if that number is correct and give the option to enter another call back number ( if not already there, I did not look at the details ).

@Gunnaro, I hope you are not only working on IP Office and forget to work on the family?[wink]
Nice work!

Intrigrant, alternative number is taken care of, in the KEYIN mod:)

I have lots of customers that receives calls made from company phone, were the returning call goes to cellular.
Typical a doctors office, where you don't want a callback from your urologist overflowing to the receptionist
*....so extn x has "trouble in the tower"...must tell everyone*

Wife and kid was away yesterday, just me, demo kit, a sixpack and the dog[smile]

Off to IKEA! *sigh*

Kind regards

Gunnar
