Hello there,

I've read quite a few posts on this forum regarding the issue where the "bigger" IP phones such as the 5212, 5215 5220 etc etc have the issue where the message waiting lamp is flashing away, and using the "loc fe e xxxx" command shows "Message waiting Lamp on" "Callback messages : 1" messages under the phone details.
Obviously being a 5201 phone it has no softkeys, and pressing the message button does nothing. Likewise ringing the voicemail manually they have no messages waiting or saved.

I've gone through all the soloutions on the previous threads but sadly none of these appear to work. Such as checking the voicemail ports etc. I've also logged this issue with Mitel Support who's resoloution was to delete the phone and voicemail box and re-create them. Not exactly an ideal way of working.

We are using a Mitel3300 ICP with Revision 8.0.8.8 software.

Any suggestions will be greatfully received!

Messages can also be cancelled from the colsole

Hello there, what console are you refering too? We currently don't have any switchboard style phones on our 3300, or are you refering to a command within the System Administration tool?

You can dial a feture code to clear the message. Look help section under feature codes and COS which allow to clear callbacks from local or remote set.

Sadly i've tried this as well and it's still clearing the lamp down, or the message through the loc fe e command.
