Has anyone figured out how to activate call waiting from the phone company within the Partner system? I am on version R3.0.2 and was wondering if the newer release covered this? Also where can I get information on upgrading to the newest version of the software? What is the latest versions of the OS and Mail?

You simply need a Flash Button (except Avaya calls it a 'Recall' button) - FEATURE-03

Program it on a button, when you hear the Call Waiting tone, hit the Flash button, and you will be connected to the other caller. Hit Flash again, and you will be back to the original caller.

I also set the Recall Timer in #107 to 24 - 600 mSec.

Now before you run out and order Call Waiting on your lines, if this is for a business, think about what happens if you have a caller on hold when the Call Waiting comes in. Who's going to hear the tone and hit the Flash button?

Do you know if this feature works on version r3.0.2? I was informed by tech support that the system did not support telephone company call waiting (which I thought was odd).

Do you know what the latest software release is?

Feature-03 for flash/recall has beena standard feature of every Partner release beginning with the "Partner System", the Partner Plus, Partner II, and the ACS series.

ACS R5 has just been announced.

Partner Messaging R1 is now out, it supersedes Partner Mail VS R5.
