Hi folks
this is not something that most will notice if your calls are from SIP to SIP or ISDN to ISDN etc as the volume will be perfect. What I have found is that the speech volume transmission from handsets on the IPO such as the nortel 7000 range and the avaya 14 digital range can be slightly lower in volume in particular for those speaking to us on a less of a quality PSTN line....and we still have them!!!
I think its possible for the IP phones but is it possible to increase the TX gain send value with digital handsets on the system? From either a portal interface or on any config setting files via SSH
Again its possible that SIP trunking allows for TX adjustment but not that I can see of BRI or PSTN values on the system
Any thoughts, cheers
