Call volume low on SCN transferred calls

If one of my sites receives an outside (telco) call and transfers the call to a remote SCN site I have to increase the call volume dramatically (this seems to work in both directions). However, when I make calls internally (between SCN sites) or in my local site . . or if I take the outside call directly . . . the call volumes seem to be fine. For some reason whenever a received outside call is transferred to another site the volume diminishes. The issue that I have is that I am always decreasing the volume for internal calls or calls received locally from the outside because the volume is too loud for those calls. It seems as though I am always adjusting the volume. Anyone have any insight?

If it is a PRI you could turn up the receive gain on the channels.

Unfortunately not a PRI - all LS trunks

You can adjust the gain on LS trunks also, but I don't think that would solve your problem as it will then be louder for calls received directly as well.

I have a feeling PRI trunks might negate the whole issue, without having to adjust any gains though. This might be your only solution.
