Has anyone looked at a way to allow the PBX to route calls to take place of regular calling cards.
Any ideas?
Any call detail issues?
Security?

I am not sure I completely understand your question, but we set up an 800 number to get into our switch, and it flows to a vector which prompts for a five digit extension. This was set up to get to our overseas center, but I enter a 5 digit remote access extension that is local to the switch. I then enter my barrier code and get switch dial tone. The remote access ext. is set up to allow external calling. I believe that trunk to trunk transfer is enabled to do this, which will raise security eyebrows. We monitor the remote access extension in CDR to keep tabs on its use.
