Hello All,

We use Avaya 56xx IP Terminals.
They work probably fine.

But we have one problem.

Sometimes when we transfer a call then the call gets lost!

Example:

You have a call; you press Transfer; you call someone; you say it is ....; you hang up; the call is lost.

May this a problem of the VCM Card?
We use 3.2.54.

THANKS for Help

You may have already tried this. Try pressing the xfer button, call extension and announce call, press xfer button again, then hang up.

"The lack of understanding is the root of all problems

Is this the normal process?
Xfer - call destination - announce call - xfer - hang up

I think this is enough:
Xfer - call destination - announce call - hang up

And why is the call complete lost when the error occurs?

from the manual,

With a call in progress, press Transfer.

When you hear dial tone, dial the number to which the call is to be transferred.

Do one of the following:

To transfer the call without announcing it, press Transfer again. The transfer is complete.

or

To announce the call before transferring it, wait for the called party to answer. If the called party is willing to accept the call, press Transfer again to complete the transfer.

or

If the called party does not wish to accept the call, press Drop. To return to the held call, press adjacent to it.

or

If the line is busy or if there is no answer, press Drop. To return to the held call, press adjacent to it.
