Hi,
I have an VMX-100 connected to a Toshiba Strata DK280 PBX and I get the following message when dial an extension number that answer: "The extension xxx does is unavailable. Please enter another extension no. or press 0 for assistance". When playing this, if on the station we dial 0 (as setted in info. table) or the own number the connection is done. Why vm does not complete the connection at hang-off? Any help appreciated. And also, the vmx does not connect to internal calls - between extensions - but the call need to be redirected to vm ports in order to get it working.

You should carefully go through each of the system paramters in the VMX-100, and check these with the setting recommended by Toshiba.
The sys par you can list by : l sys - in the update level.
Does this fault come after the Toshiba PBX has been upgraded? Or do you have upgraded the s/w of the VMX-100.
The recommended s/w level for the VMX is 7.1.4.
Also check your settings in the PBX and VMX for the hook flash timer and ring back times.
Hook flas is VMX sys par #9.
BR doktor

Thanks for help, doktor. Can you send me a complete description (or a link to it) for all VMX-100 system parameters? I only have the VMX Product Reference Manual.

I can send the sys paramter list tomorrow to you.
I wil post here in the forum.
The list I have is for the Ericsson MD110 so you need to cross check with Toshiba to see their setup for the actual sys par.
/// doktor

The answer that station xxx is unavalible is because there is no name or greeting recorded. I'd have to read the config. doc's for the DK280 but I seem to remeber that this switch does not like the attribute 34, but instead would prefer attributes 6 & 15 instead.

I have pasted our standard SYS PAR list for the Ericsson MD110 and the standard profile for the users.

It's ok now, the station can connect to caller, but it rings only one time, then the caller get a busy tone if not answered immediately. The MWL stil don't lite.

You can increase the number of ringbacks before no answer.
In the INFO table index #7 is "RINGS BEFORE NO ANS" is often set to 4. You may increase this number up to 20.
This might help you.

I will check my integration book on this PBX: Toshiba Strata DK280....

///doktor

I would check with Toshiba if these settings are correct:
9 1000 L/M FLASH TIME (MSEC.)
A flsh time of one second seems to be quite high!
We use 100 -130 ms for our systems.
The VMX needs a restart after this kind of change.

Also check your integration:
51 YES L/M RS-232 INTEGRATED WITH PBX
180 7 BITS E/P L/M RS-232 BYTE FORMAT FOR PBX INTEGRATION
It uses 7 bit Even parity and one stopbit.
Dataspeed would be 1200 bps.

If the MW lamp does not work, check your cabling and try
@MWL relite

Hope that this info can be used.

still the same problem, extension is called only once, then the caller get busy tone.

I think we are at that point where a trace is needed.
Please make trace by @ L T, then 1, and the C.
Post the result here.
Let me also know this:

Does this fault come after the Toshiba PBX has been upgraded? Or do you have upgraded the s/w of the VMX-100?

if I delete attribute 15 from cos 1 the busy tone does not occur anymore, instead the assist says "extension xxx does not answer...." over the call.

it is ok now, I did some changes in sys, the add again attribute 15 at cos 1. I will post here the .sys and .prof. Still..... the MWL is not functioning :(

how can I add a function in company greeting as "Press 5 to leave a message" instead of press * and extension no.?

I think we are at that point where a trace for MWL is needed. Please make trace by @MON2.
Post the result here.
It should show the digits and numbers send on the serial line.

I don't think that this feature ""Press 5 to leave a message" instead of press * and extension no.?" is possible.
Otherwise see my thread om menues in the next response..
