Hi all,

What timer in the route is used to cancel a call?

I have sip trunks to the carrier and getting a 487 cancel from the PBX after 8 seconds.

Any idea?

There is mo timer for that, TFD is a timer for a force disconnect but yours is set at 0

Something is forcing call to disconnect after 8 seconds.

I can capture the SIP message and see the 487 message is coming from the PBX

Senerio:

Call is placed via SIP trnks
CAll gets to carrier OK
Get 8 seconds of dead air...Waitiing for SIP call to route
No ringing...then get reorder tone.

These are SIP based calls that seem to take a little longer then usual to connect because of carrier reasons. Per SBC captures it looks like the PBX is terminating the call after 8 seconds

Any ideas

What happens if you dial the ACOD for that circuit, then the number you are trying to dial? Trying to get around any possible issues in your translations.

An 8 second sounds like a interdigit time out timer.

Basically means that there are not enough digits being dialled. You may find that # has been set up as an end of dialling character. Try dialling a failed number then # and see how you go.

Hi there,

We're having a similar issue, only in our case it's intermittent. We have good SIP calls, if it takes less than 8 seconds for the CO to respond with a 183 Call Progress, if it takes longer than 8 seconds then we get a 487 cancel from the PBX. Has this been resolved Carb11?
