Is there any way for the merlin switch to decipher an internal and external call to be routed to a cell phone? Customer wants external but not internal calls to be routed to his cell phone when he is not in the office.
Thanks

I think by default inside calls don't get forwarded, they just go to voice mail. At least that how mine system worked out when I started allowing this(R7 with centrex lines). I don't even know how to allow inside calls to transfer.

The system can't tell the difference between a inside or outside call when an Ext's forward button is on.

The only thing I could tell you is put his ext on forward delay ringing. That way he could look at his caller Id and see it is a call from his office and he dosen't have to answer it.

I verified that on my system, inside calls do not forward to an outside number. Only outside calls will be forwarded to an outside number. The extensions that I allow this on has trunk to trunk transfer enabled, and when the person wants calls forwarded, they press the forward button + "*" + the number.
