Hello,

I need to call reout a number that does not exist in user configuration but yet under call rerouting assignment it shows up their. Any ideas where i can find this number in mitel its an anologue line.

Maintenance Command: Locate Number XXXX

Locate Number did not work. Like i said in user config this number isnt in there but in call rerouting the number is in there. I see the number in this format XXX XXXX as oppsoed to XXXX in call rerouting assignment. I want that number when called to reroute to another number. Currently when i call that XXX XXXX number it goes to this one user but i need to change it to a different user. But i cant see in mitel how/ where this call gets rerouted to......

Becuase you cannot find it as a 4 digit number, I believe this is a DID.
I would check under system speed dial assignment form.
You'll see the phone number and actual number. On the Actual number, change that to the extension you want to ring.

Locate number xxxxxxx (whatever matches what you see)

The number refers to a Non Prime Broadcast Group. looking into that now

Sounds like it could be a multicall, look in the "Multiline Appearance Groups" form

But how do i remove the call forward from the old user? i set the call forward to the new user in multine set group assignment but the call XXXXXXX still gets forwaded to the old user

it says as follows in Mutline Set Group Assignment
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Group Directoy Number Group Type
XXX XXXX(<-the actual number) Single Line
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Member Prime Directory Number Key Number Ring Type
1 XXXX(<-the number i want it to forward to) 7 ring
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

But the old users number isnt there how do i remove it?

Look at your key programming for XXXX (<-the number i want to forward to) on key 7, this is where XXX XXXX (<-the actual number) appears in the system.
I would delete key 7 and create XXX XXXX as a speed call and direct it to wherever you please.

I wouldn't delete anything without knowing exactly why it is set up that way.

For example, there may be a voicemail associated with a message waiting light.

What do you see with Locate Feature Extension XXXXXXX (looking for forwarding)

LOCATE: Non prime extension number.
Active Features :

is what Locate Feature Extension shows

I see the ext XXX XXXX in call rerouting however i try and add first and second alternative to the extension but it still forwards to original number. I need to know how to cancel call forwarding to orginal number but their is no where i can see call forwarding to that number enabled.

What is your Call Routing Day/Night1/Night2 in the "Call Rerouting" form,
what programmed against the "Call Rerouting Always Alternatives" for that number found in the "Call Rerouting" form.

for call rerouting its set to 1 1 1 All 1 1
i assigned 14 to be the extension i want it to go to (in call rerouting first and second alternative) so now it is 14 14 14 All 14 14

Change 14 in Call Rerouting Always Alternative to the extension and it should work.

to the actual extension XXX XXXX or the extension i want it to forward to XXXX

so lets say what we did worked - it still forwards to the old extension that i dont want it too... however in call rerouting ext (i dont want it to go to) shows 1 1 1 5 1. it must be a feature access code ???? should i delete the number its going to (that i dont want it to go to) test to see if it forwards then recreate the number

Try this,

In the Call Rerouting form XXX XXXX should be 14 14 14 All ? ?
In the Call Rerouting Always Alternatives you should have 14 reroute reroute reroute reroute XXXX(Destination)
