I've been trying to connect an Option 11 and a BCM over a PRI network but so far I have not been able to make the two talk to one another. The PRI is up and I can't see no errors on both sides plus the BCM side can call to the Option 11 but the Option 11 can't call to the BCM side. Doing a DCH message trace gives me a CALL REJECTED response. Previous to this, I tested this 2 same equipment in our LAB and did a back to back on them and everything worked. Both side can call each other. It is only when we connected the two via PRI thru a carrier that it started having problem. But the carrier had already told me that everything setting is the same for all Interconnections they have for PRI connection. I'm really really lost, can anyone please help me.

You say 'through a carrier' I assume that you have a direct point to point T1 and you are using MCDN?

Also since you had this working in the lab, can I assume that all of your Target Lines and permissions are set correctly on the BCM?

You're not using the same cables that you used in the lab are you?

cable sounds right if the dch are passing data, the pri's are up?

What changes (if any) did you make when connecting to the carriers network?

thanks guys. got things sorted out. turned out another tech went to the site and played around with our setting in the bcm. built target lines on bcm and now everything working properly. just 1 more question though, coz extension in bcm all starts with 2 while m1 extension starts with 1. i know in meridian you can have the same first digit of the extension and just define it in dsc but how about in bcm can you specify upto 2 to 4 digits so that you can have flexibility in your dialling plan?

just change the dn of the lines to 4 digits
