Hi all,
does anybody know what is good this parameter
"Call reference (national use)" in CCS7 signalling for?
And how can affect this parameter establishment of a call?
thx
mario

Call references are temporary call IDs that are assigned by the initiating switch and thereafter included in all messages about that call.

Not something anyone but a switch designer really needs to worry about, though they come in handy when looking at protocol traces, particularly if there is a lot of trafic in the log. In that case you can use the call reference to screen the log and only show entries with that reference.

I hope this helps.

Good luck

Thx,
and it is possible that this paramater is responsible for refusing or canceling establishment of calls?
mario

Unlikely. It is assigned by the PBX when initiating calls and the CO for incoming calls. One or the other would have be really messed up for it not to be able to track calls refs
