We are in the process of building out a new switch (asterisk) and have a tmdi pri tie trunks between the nortel and asterisk. The nortel is the main switch at this point and receives all pstn calls via pri did. We are primarily 4 digit extensions, but to route to the pri, I'm forwarding extensions to 79xxxx (this routes to asterisk) and letting asterisk remove the 79 so I can keep using 4 digit extensions.
This works great except for one piece. Local calls coming in from the pstn forward directly to callpilot. If I dial from my cell (not a local number), it rings through to the extension and works properly.
Any ideas? I've tried routing only 4 digits (79xx and having the remote end manipulate as needed) but that didn't work either.
