I have a Norstar customer with a medical practice who wants to record all incoming and outgoing calls. Would the UCX50 be a good fit and retain the T7316 and T7208 phones?

Is the interface to view recordings easy? Can a single person, view the records and listen to any and all calls? Can we turn off recording of station to station calls?
Can we dump the recordings to an external device (USB disk)?

Yes, that's what the UCX platform was designed to do....replace existing Nortel systems and support all Nortel phones. You can record pretty much anything you want in this system. If they want to record just the in/out calls, you just turn it on in the inbound and outbound routes. Just a mouse click.

Listening to recordings is very simple. There is a tab specifically for this purpose. Just open it up and set the filters for what you want to listen to. Internal call recording is activated on a per user basis so yes, you can turn it off (it's disabled by default)

Yes, you can dump the recordings to external devices. There is an Enhanced Archive Server application available that is a licensed feature. Have a look through the link I provided.

I don't believe you can download them directly to a USB stick connected to the UCX, but you can download them directly to your PC, then to a stick if you wish.
