What would be the best solution for someone who would like to track calls on a per user basis. They are looking for something to find out how many calls Joe Schmoe made in the last month, and what #'s he called. SMDR and CDR come to mind, but does anyone have any insight on the best solution for this?

I have used Tapit (manufactured by Trysis) before and it works great for the basics as you have described.

You actually could use a call recording system (

to gather this data, but it would certainly be an overkill (thus your title is not actually that far off). But might make some sense if you had other reasons to record your calls.

SMDR output files work fine.

Import into a database, and filter for required extension Number.
