I currently have a 3rd party call recording system integrated with AES for internal traffic. Both h.323 and SIP. I now have a requirement to be able to record calls from remote SIP phones coming through the Avaya SBC's. Can anyone share what's required for that?

Honestly it will depend on your call recorder and what that specific system and release supports.

I thought it would be more config on the SBC to get media forked.

It shouldn't be any different recording remote workers than internal stations.

There's a SIPREC feature on the SBC, but that's a bit different. You still use the TSAPI to know what's going on in CM to know when there's a call to be recorded and SIPREC just forks the media to the recorder thereby eliminating the H323 DMCC recording stations.

But you don't implicitly need SIPREC to record remote workers.
