Hi Everyone, First I would like to thank everyone who replies to these. Soo Helpful...

I am looking at a 50 seat inbound Synposium solution where call Recording on every call is a must.
I know very little about remote observe and am basically looking for someone with some experience and has implimented a call recording utility with a 61 c or even of a mini carrier remote whether it is remote observe or any other utility that works well.
Looking for a much info as I can and of course cost is always an issue. If anyone know of an affordable recording solution which will integrate with the nortle gear I would love to hear about it.
Thanks in advance,
Wyles

can't remember the exact product line but did an install for positron, a 911 system with full time recording, check with the local 911 center and see what they are using and who is their service provider. your not talking low dollar, but they have a listed non-emergency number. that will at least give you a starting point

Hi,

I've put in place a call recording solution in the past couple of months.

For a start there are 2 methods of hooking up - 1. Trunk side - great for 100% recording but can be expensive, 2. Line side - will handle 100% on 50 to 70 agents.

The solution is fairly simple on line side. The server monitors the agent state using the information fed through from symposium - onhook/offhook. You don't have to worry about this, the recorder supplier will have a SW pack that supports this functionality.

You set up SPV sets on the M1 with an OBV key on a key number specified by the Recorder supplier. Ask the recorder people for the full spec and run it by your PBX guys.

These sets can be punched down to amphenol cables on the Krone(You can get the wiring from the amphenol supplier or you PBX guys). The amphenol will plug into the recorder server - on some kind of voice boards provided by them, probably dialogic.

The operation - you setup your agents on the recorder and apply a rule to record 100% of these agent calls. In the agent setup you attach the extension and Pos ID. When the agent goes offhook the recorder knows the extension and position ID from Symposium and uses one of the SPV sets with observer to record the call.

We set this up for 50 agents within 5 days - the price negotiations took longer!

Nortel have a solution themselves which I have not looked at - contact your supplier. Other people to look at are Witness, Nice, e-Quality, ASC.

Hope this helps.....

we had this lot in one of our centre's

they were significanlty cheaper than witness/nice etc

good helpful service as well.

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Thanks Everyone.
This gives me a good place to start looking.

a colleague of mine sells recording devices. You can reach her at kovanyc@mindspring.com. Compatible with Nortel.
