Anybody have a favorite Avaya devconnect solution for call recording in an IPO environment that does not tie up a voicemail port when recording a call? Does this type of solution exist? I realize that if it does, it will come at a price. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Z

What you need and how much it costs is dictated by the number and type of lines you have really :)

Understood. We'll be using PRI trunks (just 1 - 2 circuits initially) because the solution also has fax servers in the mix (otherwise SIP would be the primary trunking). I'm just looking for any recommended devconnect solutions that record without tapping into voicemail port capacity.

When is this for? I ask as Xima are due to launch a hardware solution for recording calls, and they are about as good as it gets as a Devconect partner, they also do a great call reporting/wallboard system that will tie in nicely :)

Thank you for the helpful responses. I found a product by Uptivity (formerly Call Copy) that does not need to sit on a voicemail port for recording a call. I'll look into the suggestions as well--thanks again!

If you are in the UK, we recommend Liquid Voice or Oak (at a push).

Loads are out there. Much better than VM port recording.
