We use our IP office system to record certian calls. However the maximum length for a recording is one hour.

Is there a wat to change this? I have not found a way.

What are some alteritives? A device that connects the phone to a pc and then record?

Thanks

try changing
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AVAYA\Media Services\Directories

VRLMsgMaxTime value to XXX

restart the services

this folder is since 4.x otherwise do a search for the key name

i have tried changing

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AVAYA\Media Services\Directories

VRLMsgMaxTime (i doubled this value)

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AVAYA\Media Services\Directories

MaxRecordTime ( i doubled this value)
this some how keeps getting changed back to the default value of 3600

The max is one hour. If you need more then Contact Store is for you. What do you want for free?

We have contact store. Is there a way to change the recording length with it?
Thanks

open VMPro and press f9 on the general tab change the maxcall\vrl record length in there.

And we were just discussing how much we love Intuity mode.....you must be well chuffed now :)

not exactly chuffed no. :)

Its stuck in default.

Registry and vmpro properties show it in ipo mode, but *17 still gives you "welcome to IP office" aaaargh.

Just had 15 calls from angry salespeople on calls hearing "warning your call is being recorded"

i can't do anything with it.

going to upgrade to the new 5.0 release.......

Wish me luck.

I will be doing just that tonight. My missus is doing a Midnight charity walk, or so she tells me, so she will be out until at least 4am.

Gonna get the lads round, get drunk and thrash the xbox.

You going to the whole weekend?

I can see you with your apron on and duster cleaning up at 3.55am!

She will be too tired to moan, its ten miles. the furthest she has ever walked is from the flat to the car park.

Have a good time.

The way it is "supposed" to work is that free vm voice recording is max of 1 hour. VRL via Contactstore should be unlimited time. I'm thinking that you have a bugaroo. Post your version specific information.

Quick question following on from Cargoskis point.

Have you tried recording a call longer than one hour?

If you have contactstore the recording shouldnt stop.

I found that if i open VMpro and try to change the Max VRL record time, it will not let me go above 3600 or one hour. Even though i changed the registry. when i close VMpro it resets the registry value to 3600.

I changed the registry again and restarted the service, but did not open VMpro.

We are recording a call at 10 EST to test.

I'll let you all know the result.

The Avaya Knowledgebase says that the maximum recording time for messages and VRL Recordings (Contact Store) is 60 mins
