Hi all,

I recently tested out call queue in the avaya ip office.
I programmed the call queue and I saw that one call is busy and another call comes in, it goes into queue, but I hear ringing and I was wondering if avaya has an default announcement that says you are number 3 in queue.
If so how can I activate it?

Also what i noticed is that the queue works only with one extension in collective, and i was wondering if you can have more extensions in the group to take more calls.
How can I set it so more phones can take calls?

Thank you in advance

Queuing only means that the call doesn't go to voicemail should all users in a group be busy, announcements are enabled separately
you can enable the announcements in the groups Announcement tab and there are 2 default greetings in there. You can play the first then the second and repeat the second or play only 1 then repeat that one or no repeats at all.

Think about an empty Postal Office: if you enter and go to the office employee you are not in queue, you're served. If you are the second entering the Postal Office and there are 2 employee you are still served, if there is only 1 employee and you are the second you are the queue, and so on.
By default when you are in a queue you don't receive any announcements but just the ring tone because "you're going to be served".
Announcements is a task not depending on the queuing status, you can have it in both cases (queued or not).
The chance to have the position number in the queue is given only by the VoiceMail Pro
