Call Pkup displayed on 9608 handset

I have a customer who wants the 4 button on their 9608IP handsets to be used for "call-pkup" but wants call-pkup displayed on the handset permanently. I have tried using a FAC to achieve this, but couldn't get it to work. If I display a station at the moment it does show button4 as "call-pkup" but if a user wants to pick up a call he/she has to use the left/right arrows to access the feature keys and then scroll to call-pkup and select it. Any ideas oh assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you able to go to menu and change the screen width size to half?

I have not tried this as I haven't got remote access to the site, I'll be on site tomorrow and will try it then.

Edit the 46xxsettings file

## FBONCASCREEN specifies whether features will be displayed on the same screen as call appearances
##  when the value of PHNSCRALL is 0.
##  Value  Operation
##    0    Features will not be displayed on the same screen as call appearances (default)
##    1    As many features as will fit will be displayed on the same screen as call appearances,
##          in addition to being displayed on a separate feature screen.
##  This parameter is supported by:
##       96x1 H.323 R6.0 and later (9608, 9608G and 9611G models only)
##       96x0 H.323 R3.0 and later (9630 and 9640 models only)

SCREEN AND SOUND OPTIONS

Press the HOME button.

Press the Select softkey under Options and Settings. Use the Navigation Arrows to scroll to Screen & Sound Options and press the Select softkey.

Use the Navigation Arrows to scroll to Phone Screen Width.

Select Half to see all eight appearances or features.

Save and Exit

You could also use the settings file to program one of your soft keys as pickup
