Hello all,

I am having this issue with one of the Call Pilot installs at my work place. It would seem after receiving a message that the message indicator within Outlook lights up but then disappears, even though the message has not been read. Does anyone know why something like this would occur?

I also get a 32 bit setup Launcher error when I try to install Call Pilot on this computer and data transfer error. Anyone run into similar issues before? Thanks.
 
Could be the preview pane in Outlook causing that. If it's a 3.6 system, there is a updated Unified Messaging client that addresses the issue of messages being marked read. Try the preview pane thing first, if that doesn't work, then download/install the updated client.
 
Do you have a link where I can download the update from? I will check the nortel site for it. Thanks.
 
It's on Nortel's site. Mr marshall also posts patches on his site if you can't get it from Nortel.
 
I tried the Nortel website and because I'm not an authorized vendor they will not allow me access to download the patches. Apparently they are afraid that the competition will be able to get their information and use it to their advantage - No comment. I tried looking up a Mr. Marshall website on Google but I cannot find it. What would be the address? Thanks.
 
Well I have registered and the only patch is the cumulative one and when I read the read me document it does not say that this particular issue is addressed - the being messages are recorded as read before you even click into the Call Pilot in-box. Do you know the exact update?

On my 3.7 BCM, the MWI lamp was being turned off by Google Desktop. Closing Google Desktop or uninstalling it fixed the problem.
