We are looking into getting IVR set up on our option 11 switch and my vendor tells me that we need to run a report in Call Pilot in order to determine if the existing voicemail ports we have are being utilized to the point where we need to add more or if they are not then we could possibly take a couple of those to use for IVR, can someone tell me how and what report I need to run?

What are you telling exactly, do you mean this is not possible or what?

no one here has ever needed a voice mail port to add ivr, ivr doesn't add traffic to mail, or utilize call pilot ports for any known reason. maybe your vendor has a new app that works in conjunction with the cp. he should know what reports he needs. sounds like a sales thing not tech

I think your right, we now use Symposium 5.0 and before upgrading to it our customer when calling our tech number had the option to either leave msg or stay in queue, now the vendor tells me in order to accomplish this again I would need to add or borrow VM ports to get IVR working in Symposium. Thanks for you reply!

Yes he should know what reports are required and how to get them, and ever since symposium 4.0 it does steal ports from CP for IVR applications. Make sure that Symposium comes up first then CP or the TN's will not be acquired correctly.

I am sure he knows, I am waiting to hear back from them on this, I just thought one of you guys might know the report. Thanks for the reply!.

he might be talking about a keycode to add access ports.

The report your vendor is referring to is most likely a voiceport traffice report. This show how busy your system is currently. If its not real busy and you can break out a few for IVR ports. The report would have to come from the CP Reporter...this is a seperate server than the CP.

You would use the CP as a IVR providing you're using SCCS...which you are.

here's a link to a doc that explain everything you need to set up IVR or ACCESS port with SCCS.

The doc you want is labeled 1GNPS CALLPILOT-SCCS

That is the ticket, just what I was looking for, than you all so very much for all your responses.
