Call Pilot Message Networking Question:

Have a CP 2.01 Local Site and have a Remote Site working off the Local site.

Problem: Cannot reach Remote users with Dial an Extension.
Can dial thru CDP over Tie line to remote site just fine and reach extensions that Hunt and Forward to Voice mail.

Has anyone on here done this without setting up NMS and Satellite locations?

I have set this up in the past without Satellite location programmmed, but this time cannot get to work.

If anyone has any experience, let me know. Thanks much!

couple of things come to mind, ncos of the acd agents and rpl's in the mail.. either can block the dial thru to a remote site.. when i set one up i usually block calls to trunks except for remote notification.. since you've set this up before you may have checked that, if so just for a test.. move one working dn, that can be reached via dial by dn to the far end.. just out it local, build a full length dsc and add it as a scr on the far end... see if the block is still there... without seeing the setup, that's about as close as i can come

Thanks John.

1. Ncos of CP ACD Agts is "0".

2. RPL in the Mailbox Class is set to On Switch where "1" is allowed, which is my CDP - DSC to the Remote Site.

3. I can try taking out the "1" as the DSC and put the full Test DN of 3 digits as the DSC and try that. (3 digit dialing on the PBX)

4. Again, the Local Site can CDP there just fine with the "1" in the DSC, it's just when outside callers Dial an Extension off the main menu (which is set to Press 1 to Dial an Extension and then after you enter the full Mailbox 3 digit number and # sign, it just hangs there and you hear nothing.......

Think there'd be any conflict with the Press "1" to dial the extension since the extensions begin with "1"?

:)
