We have a CS1000 Option 11 PBX rls 4.0 with a CallPilot 201i rls 4.0 and we installed the PEPs and now we cannot login thru the CP Manager. The PEPs took and the system rebooted but now we cannot login. An error message comes up "An error occurred communicating with the server. Login Failed. [1]"

Any input will be appreciated

Zadari42.....I found the services and have taken a snap shot and will compare with a working system. Thanks for the tip.

The system I wanted to compare it with is not avaialable over the weekend and I probably wont be able to access it until Tuesday morning.

I updated a Release 4 202i server on Sunday. Below are the PEPs that I installed on it:

1. CP404SU04S (which include)
CP404S04G10S
CP404S04G19S
CP404S04G26S
CP404S04G32S
CP404S04G33S
CP404S04G35S
CP404S04G36S
CP404S04G42S
CP404S04L07S

2. CP404S04G22C (CallPilot Manager)

3. CPSECPEP010S (security hotfixes)

4. CPDSKPEP001S (service pack 2 pre-requisite, frees up space on C: drive)

5. CPSECPEPSP2S (service pack 2)

After the installation of these PEPs, I could still log into CP Manager with no problems.

Hey guys,
The probelm was if you have put the latest SU's on there this is the correct procedure to do on a Callpilot server.
Install your service update.
Once its finished and prompts you to restart select NO
install tghe latest Callpilot Manager
Install any supplimentary peps that have been issued since the SU.
Reboot server.

If you install the SU and reboot before installing Callpilot manager i have found in the past you will not be able to log into the CP manager.

This is what id try if i was you...
Install the latest Callpilot manager CP500S05G16C.
If you still cant get in maybe try and default the callpilot mamanger password via the CP tools (if you have access, if not call your Nortel partner).
Otherwise the only other thing i can think is to take a backup via the CP tools, reimage your server and restore from backup.

What would happen if I removed the PEPS and started over?

More than likely nothing. That's probably what you should do. Make sure you have a good backup just in case.

Impala why dont you first compare services and give it a try before doing uninstalling/installing patches.

zardari42......I did and made the changes according to the difference and I am still not able to access the CP Manager.

Update on CP Manager proglem. The problem was fixed this weekend. I removed all patches rebooted and installed the patches as new. That cleared the problem and I was able to access CP Manager. Thanks for all the suggestions.
