So I have a Call Pilot 1005 R server running release 5.0. After I launch IE and get my login page, Ipout in my credentials, and the page just sits there and never loads. Or loads very, very slowly. Typically though it never loads at all. Rebooted the server Friday and no change. Ideas? I thought about uninstalling my Call Pilot Manager and reinstalling it. Thoughts?

Is the version of IE compatible? We have been running into that more than not lately.

It's IE 6, what comes on the standard Ghost Image.

Are you talking about MyCallpilot or just Callpilot server, Mycallpilot can't be loaded on the same server as Callpilot.

I'm talking about Call Pilot Manager. I didn't think I mentioned MyCallPilot, did I? Anyway, I'm just talking about the administration of Call Pilot, which uses Call Pilot Manager. Directly from the server, launching IE, I get the login page, put in my 000000 mailbox, password and under server name I put localhost. Tries to load, get a small amount of progress bar and it never loads.

You may want to upgrade IE at least to 8 or 9. I currently use CallPilot Mgr with IE 11, but have to run it in compatibility mode.

The IE should not be the issue on the server. It should be fine using the version that is on the CP Image DVD. I have never had to upgrade the IE on a Call Pilot Server. This was working fine, and now all of a sudden it is not.

Is there anything showing regarding application/security/system in the event viewer on the callpilot server?
I'm still running Callpilot 5 which came with IE 6.0 on the server. I also run a CPMGR server (so I'm not accessing the callpilot server directly) and generally use firefox which works fine also....

I will have to check the Event Viewer. This issue is from the server or from a machine on their network accessing the URL over the CLAN.

If they can access over the CLAN //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/cpmgr/login.asp - have them try using a browser other than IE; at least that would possibly eliminate the browser as the issue.

The result is the same from the server or over the CLAN with the URL. That's what makes me think the Call Pilot Manager patch may be some how corrupted. I'm going to remove the manager patch Saturday morning and reinstall it to see if that makes any difference.

See if there is any difference using the actual IP address in the server field of the login page rather than 'localhost' - its a long shot but....

I sure will. I wonder if they somehow they might have pushed something to the server causing this? I have no idea to check that.

Thanks

Just an update on this. I found that if I disable the CLAN NIC card on the CP server then the page loads just fine. I have their IT people looking at this. Not sure if it's a setting on the CLAN NIC or if their network doesn't like IE 6. But I don't think it's a server issue. I can access the CP Manager from my laptop just fine with either IE 9 or Firefox.
